The Challenge

A clinical training program was drowning students in dense text. New practitioners needed to understand complex, compliance-heavy topics - terminology, best practices, legal requirements, and real-world scenarios - but traditional page layouts were not sticking. Students felt unprepared and overwhelmed navigating multi-topic modules.

The Solution

I designed the entire 60-minute onboarding as an interactive, progressive learning experience using flip cards for terminology, accordion sections for best practices, and scenario-based cards for real-world application. The design transformed compliance training from passive reading into active engagement, making critical concepts memorable and immediately applicable.

Role: Designer (UX/UI) + Frontend Developer

The Impact

Post-launch feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Supervisors reported:

  • Higher engagement - Students praised the interactive elements and scenario-based approach.
  • Better retention - Key concepts stuck better than with previous text-heavy materials.
  • Increased confidence - Students felt equipped to handle real telehealth situations.
  • Strong adoption - The module became standard in the training program with high completion rates.

The project demonstrates how strategic information architecture, thoughtful UX patterns, and accessibility-first development can transform rigid compliance training into engaging learning that sticks.
